3-Tie and 2-Tie Press

The System Occupying a footprint of only 800 sq. ft. the 3-tie/2-tie press accepts standard bales on the front end, and delivers  weighed, consistent, compressed, strapped bales to the accumulator at the back, ready for stacking and storage. (Click on any photo to enlarge.)

Loading Standard 3-tie bales (or 2-tie bales) are fed into the machine through a variety of feed mechanisms.

After orientation, the twine is cut automatically, and stripped by an operator who can also inspect for product quality.

Processing Cycle The Double Press 3-Tie Press will process 5-6+ bales per minute, depending on the product being processed. Pressure of 3600 psi is generated by a single 300HP electric motor and a 1700 gallon hydraulic reservoir, coupled with a 14" hydraulic cylinder to press the bale to approximately 22".

A propriety series of steps inside the compression chamber set the product's "memory" prior to strapping in its new configuration.

Scale Prior to loading into the press, the product is conveyed onto a scale that can be operated electronically or mechanically, and provides the operator with a digital readout at the control panel.

Strapper The compressed, full-weight bales travel through a restrapping station that places up to 6 high strength plastic straps.
 

Slicer It's now a simple matter to slice the compressed bales between the straps to generate half-size bales that pass to the accumulator.

Accumulator Bales can be accumulated flat or on edge and in rows
of 2,3,4 or 5.

Optional Stacker/Accumulator With our optional stacker, the bales can be accumulated on edge 2 bales high  in rows of 2,3,4, or 5 wide. The stacker also preserves the option of accumulating bales flat in a 4-wide pattern.

Panel View The panel view at the operator's station allows the operator to set bale weights, provides counts of bales pressed, provides troubleshooting and maintenance information and interfaces with other Double Press equipment.

The most important button is "Auto Start", the system's fully automatic mode.  However, each function can also be controlled manually for analysis and maintenance.

Additional Features The Standard Cutter or the High Volume Cutter can be integrated with the 3-Tie Press, resulting in a Big Bale input with exceptional volume and efficiency.
